This print shows part of the Prophet’s Mosque in the city of Madinah in Saudi Arabia with the Green Dome built in 1817 above the tomb of the Prophet, painted green since 1837.<\/p>\n
Minarets<\/strong> The AsSalam Gate minaret, in the background, was originally\u00a0commissioned in 1307 by Muhammad ibn Kalavun and later renovated by Mehmed IV in the 17th century in typical Ottoman style.<\/p>\n Square umbrellas<\/strong><\/p>\n There are 250 electric umbrellas with humidifying fans to provide shade to over 500,000 visitors covering the outdoor square.
